Top 5 Cape Coral Events
Sunset Celebration at the Yacht Club
This event has grown to be the most popular place to spend the first Wednesday of every month from October to April. Held at Yacht Club Beach, 40-50 local artists, vendors, and food trucks are on hand to entertain and feed people of all ages. Bring a chair to watch the sunset over the Caloosahatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico.
Junk in the Trunkfest
Junk in the Trunkfest promises to be the largest community yard sale in Cape Coral and will take place at Four Freedoms Park on October 13th from 9 am – 2 pm.
If you’re looking for housewares, furniture, antiques, memorabilia, jewelry, or collectibles, head on down for a day full of treasure-finding fun. If you have items you’d like to sell, check out the Junk in the Trunkfest Facebook event page for more information.
33rd Annual Cape Coral Oktoberfest
This annual festival presented by the German American Social Club is a must-visit for locals and visitors as well. This year’s festival is on Oct. 19-21 and 26-28 at the German American Social Club (2101 SW Pine Island Rd.).
Non-stop live bands fill the festival stages as you enjoy German fares like schnitzel and sauerbraten. Local vendors are on hand, and dozens of imported and domestic brews will quench your thirst. There’s no better way to enjoy the sights and sounds of Germany right here in Cape Coral!
Coconut Festival
Considered Cape Coral’s signature event, the Coconut Festival will take place from Nov. 8-11 at the Sun Splash Festival Grounds. The festival began in 2005 and got bigger and better every year. More than 20,000 people enjoy fireworks, cirque acts, carnival rides, and of course, food!
Coco Country Night will have national entertainment on the main stage Friday night and Coco Rock Night will follow suit on Saturday. The Achieva Coconut Run 5k & Kids Run is Sunday morning bright and early before Coco Family Day starts at noon.
Holiday Festival of Lights
For more than 25 years, the streets of downtown Cape Coral have transformed into a winter wonderland at the Annual CenturyLink Holiday Festival of Lights. Yes, there’s even snow that you can sled down at our very own Snow Drift at Snowcap Square.
Watch the Christmas tree lighting in Christmas Town Center, take a ride around Snowcap Square on the Tiny Tot Train, or shop at the Holiday Village. There is something for the whole family to enjoy.
This year’s event is still in the works, but visit the event page in the coming months for more details.
